  • Q-Tip performs at Planned Parenthood, Rock the Vote inaugural party

    Planned Parenthood celebrated President Obama’s second term Sunday with a rollicking party in one of Washington’s premier concert venues.

    Planned Parenthood and Rock the Vote — a get-out-the-vote group focused on young voters — celebrated the inaugural as well as the 40th anniversary of Roe v Wade, which falls on Tuesday.

    Q-Tip, a founding member of the hip-hop group A Tribe Called Quest, served as DJ, keeping the party going with an accessible mix of 70s disco, 80s Michael Jackson and early-90s hip-hop.

  • Obama officials ditch ‘exchanges’ in rebranding of healthcare reform law

    The change comes amid a push by conservative activists to block state-based exchanges in hopes of crippling federal implementation.
